Peter Fogarty (Chairman). Since co-founding the Pendulum Group in 2004, Peter has advised numerous public and private companies across a variety of industries.
Peter was previously the CEO of an ASX listed company for 18 years, taking the business from a small start-up to an international business with a turnover of more than $300 million, over 1,000 employees and offices in over a dozen countries.
He was responsible for the overall direction and strategy of the business and negotiated major contracts globally, ranging in size from $20 million to more than $300 million. He successfully coordinated capital raisings totalling more than $1 billion.
Prior to that, Peter was a senior partner in the law firm Phillips Fox where he specialised in corporate and taxation law.
Over the past 25 years Peter has developed extensive interests in the wine sector through the Fogarty Wine Group (FWG), which has grown into WA’s largest wine producer. FWG now owns and operates a portfolio of wine assets and vineyards across WA, NSW, Victoria and Tasmania.
At Pendulum, Peter has consulted extensively to companies in the property, technology, agriculture and wine industries.
Greg Harvey is an experienced international business leader, with a strong record in global agri-food industries, delivering profitable growth and building strong management cultures.
Greg’s most recent appointment was as the Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Harvest Road Group, based in WA. Harvest Road is owned by Andrew and Nicola Forrest. The portfolio includes pastoral properties, meat processing companies (Harvey Beef), aquaculture (Leeuwin Coast), and ag-tech investments (Future Feed). HRG has over 800 employees across all regions of Western Australia.
Between 2005 and 2018, Greg was Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Interflour Group – one of Asia’s largest grain processors and agri-port operators, employing over 1,650 employees of 16 different nationalities across 7 countries. During his tenure Greg turned a loss-making business into one with an enterprise value of USD500 million. Greg’s responsibilities also included a mandate to expand and develop the Salim Group’s international agri-business portfolio. Before his role at Interflour. Greg was the General Manager of Pacific Agrifoods (a JV between CBH and the Salim Group), which was acquired by the Salim Group in 2005.
Previously Greg held a number of senior roles with the Australian Wheat Board Limited from 1996 to 2002, including Director – Asia (based in Melbourne and then in Hong Kong), Regional Manager WA, and Manager of the Cairo Office, Egypt. Greg is also a past Executive Officer with the WA Farmers’ Federation (Perth).
Greg has a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility and was the former Global Chairperson of the Food Fortification Initiative (FFI) between 2010-18.
Greg joined Pendulum as a Partner in 2021.
Mark Giles joined Pendulum in 2006 and brings over 30 years’ experience in corporate and financial management.
Mark began his career with an international accounting firm working in Perth and Melbourne before moving into property funds management, where he was involved in the finance and administration of a number of listed funds, now part of the ING Bank group. He subsequently joined the merchant banking arm of Standard Chartered Bank where he worked in Perth and Sydney and specialised in asset and commodity financing and capital markets.
In his last role he was General Manager – Corporate for a listed technology group where he was responsible for M&A and treasury activities, including capital and debt raisings, and investor relations and was a director of a number of group companies. During this time, he managed raisings exceeding $500 million working in Perth, Brussels and Rome.
At Pendulum Mark advises on M&A, treasury and infrastructure and consults to clients on a variety of management and finance matters. He was a founding director of Collie Water (a significant economic development project involving industry, the State Government and the Commonwealth in the south west of WA) and Muchea Water (a water service provider operating in a rapidly growing region north-east of Perth).
Mark Fogarty was appointed a Partner of Pendulum in 2015, having previously worked as a senior analyst and corporate adviser since 2004.
At Pendulum, Mark provides a range of capital markets and corporate finance services, including due diligence and business reviews, to clients in industries extending from mining services to agriculture.
Mark acts as Company Secretary to The Wine Collective (an aggregation of Australia’s leading direct to consumer wine retailers, including Australia’s oldest wine club (The Wine Society), is co-founder and Finance Director of Goon Tycoons (an emerging WA producer of small batch wines) and is a Director of Margaret River Vintners (a 10,000-tonne wine processing facility).
