Peter Fogarty (Chairman). A founding Director of the Pendulum Group, Peter has over 40 years experience in corporate management, financial structuring, and negotiation of M&A transactions and has advised numerous public and private companies across a variety of industries.
Peter was previously the CEO and Managing Director of a public listed company for 18 years. In this role he was responsible for a global group employing over 1,000 people across a dozen countries, with revenues over $300 million pa. He was formerly a partner in corporate and taxation law with a leading Australian legal firm.
Over the past 25 years Peter has developed extensive interests in the wine sector through the Fogarty Wine Group (FWG), which has grown into Margaret River’s largest wine producer. FWG now owns and operates a portfolio of wine assets and vineyards across WA, NSW, Victoria and Tasmania.
At Pendulum, Peter consults extensively to companies in the property, technology, agriculture and wine industries.
Greg Harvey is an experienced and entrepreneurial agribusiness leader with over 25 years experience in the Asia Pacific region.
He has held a number of executive roles in agri-food businesses, including as CEO and MD of Interflour Group (one of one of Asia’s largest grain processors and agri-port operators) and as the inaugural CEO of Andrew and Nicola Forrest’s agricultural investment vehicle Harvest Road Group, which operates across meat processing (Harvey Beef), aquaculture (Leeuwin Coast), and ag-tech investments (Future Feed).
Previously Greg held senior roles with the Australian Wheat Board Limited and is a past Executive Officer with the WA Farmers’ Federation (Perth).
Greg was the former Global Chairperson of the Food Fortification Initiative, and he brings a deep knowledge of the global strategies and trends that will determine the future of the food industry.
Greg joined Pendulum as a Partner in 2021 and is leading Pendulum’s agribusiness initiatives. He also sits on the Boards of Alterra Ltd (an ASX listed developer of agricultural projects and water assets), Carbon Conscious Investments Limited (a manager of reforestation and carbon farming projects that deliver Australian Carbon Credit units (ACCUs)) and D’Orsogna Ltd (a market leader in WA’s food manufacturing industry and a national supplier of smallgoods).
Mark Giles joined Pendulum in 2006 and brings over 30 years experience in corporate and financial management.
Mark was previously a senior executive for a public listed international group where he held roles responsible for M&A and treasury activities, including capital and debt raisings, and investor relations and was a director of a number of group companies. During this time he managed raisings exceeding $500 million, working in Perth, Brussels and Rome.
Mark began his career with a leading accounting and advisory firm before moving into funds management where he was involved in the finance and administration of a number of listed funds. He subsequently held executive roles in merchant banking in Sydney and Perth, where he specialised in project and commodity financing and capital markets.
At Pendulum Mark advises on M&A, treasury and infrastructure and consults to clients on a variety of management and finance matters. He is a Director of Collie Water (overseeing a significant development project in the south west of WA) and Muchea Water (a water service provider operating in a rapidly growing region north-east of Perth).
Mark Fogarty was appointed a Partner in 2015, having previously worked as a senior analyst and corporate adviser since 2004.
Mark has worked on a range of capital markets and corporate finance activities, including due diligence and business reviews, initial public offerings, capital raisings and mergers and acquisitions for clients in industries extending from technology, mining services through to agriculture.
Mark also acts as a Director and Company Secretary of the Fogarty Wine Group, where he has been actively involved in the growth of the business, a Director and Company Secretary of The Wine Collective (a leading digital wine marketplace based in Sydney), and Company Secretary of RLR Holdings Pty Ltd (the developer of The Lodge Wadjemup on Rottnest Island).
